Body dissatisfaction is fairly common among women and to a lesser degree in men. Trying to improve the physique entails following a sensible diet and engaging in regular exercise, but many found that their bodies can still retain fat. For these people, they have options which included non-invasive procedures such as CoolSculpting and more invasive procedures like liposuction.
The non-invasive procedure, CoolSculpting allows a person to contour their bodies without any incisions and can be performed in under an hour. It is less expensive, too.
People, who are not ideal candidates for surgical procedures because of heart conditions or other medical reasons, can have CoolSculpting.
CoolSculpting utilizes a process called cryolipolysis, wherein areas of fat are cooled to temperature which causes fat cells to crystalize and eventually die. These dead fat cells break up and are naturally flushed out of the body within weeks after the procedure. It is ideal for people, who don’t have days or weeks to recover from more invasive procedures, and fear undergoing the knife.
The downside is that CoolSculpting is not as quite effective as traditional liposuction. CoolSculpting can reduce fat in the treated areas about 20 to 25 percent within six weeks after the initial procedure. The areas can be retreated within 3 to 6 months.
In contrast, surgical liposuction can reduce fat 50 to 60 percent in the treated areas. Recovery from liposuction can take longer and requires small incisions and anesthesia.
