Munich, 30 June 2009 — Comdasys, the leading provider of Unified Communications Fixed-Mobile Convergence solutions announced today that Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC) has named its Mobile Convergence Solution as a recipient of a 2008 Communications Solutions Product of the Year Award.
The Comdasys MC Solution is an enterprise and service provider grade Fixed Mobile Convergence solution that seamlessly unifies fixed enterprise VoIP, VoWLAN and cellular mobility. The MC Solution provides the advantages of one-number and one-mailbox feature, seamless handover as well as new forms of communications such as Instant Messaging and Presence. “In addition to the one-number and one voice-mailbox features, our FMC Solution allows mobile users to access IP-PBX features from anywhere, whether in WLAN or GSM networks”, says Marco Genoni, General Manager of Comdasys.

The Comdasys MC Solution has two components, the MC Controller and the MC Client. The MC Controller is deployed nearby the IP-PBX and behaves as a connected SIP telephone and thus makes the mobility element transparent to the voice switch. The MC Controller supports a broad range of PBX features through seamless subscriber interface integration. Comdasys sells the MC Controller in three models scaling from 50 to 1500 users.
For larger users Comdasys licenses the MC Controller software for integration into blade servers and thus scaling to service provider grade. Easy to be used the MC Client deployment and remote configuration tools are integrated in the MC Controller. The MC Client is a software module that is integrated in mobile handsets. It provides an intuitive and homogeneous user Interface for across basebands such as WIFI, Cellular and GPRS/UMTS for rich IP-PBX feature access. The Comdasys MC Client supports a wide range of handsets such as all Nokia single and dual mode phones, all Symbian based LG and Samsung handsets, all Blackberry of recent release, Android, iPhone as well as Windows Mobile based phones.
