A Yemenia Air flight traveling from Yemen to the island nation of Comoros has crashed into the Indian Ocean and officials now fear all 153 people on board have died.
The exact location of the crash remains unknown but authorities believe the Airbus 310 was approaching its landing when it went down. Most of the passengers were said to be Comoros residents who were returning from Paris.
Conditions near the coast of Comoros are said to be rough, making any attempt at searching for possible survivors all the more difficult. Despite the conditions two French jets and a French vessel have been sent to the area in which the flight may have crashed.
Comoros is made up of three islands which are located approximately 190 miles northwest of Madagascar.
