Justin Bieber will take a paternity test Friday to prove he is not the father of a 20-year-old fan’s baby, according to his manager.
“He’s ready to take a paternity test, at any moment. We have one scheduled for tomorrow,” Scooter Braun told Extra at a charity event on Thursday.
Bieber, 17, is not legally obligated to take a paternity test since his accuser, Mariah Yeater, dropped her lawsuit and a court never heard the case. Braun says Bieber is just ready to put the scandal behind him. "He's like 'I'm just going to go ahead of it and be fine,’” Braun explained.
Yeater filed the lawsuit last month, claiming she had sex with Bieber backstage at the Staples Center on October 25, 2010.
"On July 6, 2011, I gave birth to a baby boy. That was exactly 36 weeks and two days after the sexual encounter with Justin Bieber. Based upon the timing as well as the fact there were no other possible men that I had sex with that could be the father of this baby, I believe that Justin Bieber is in fact the father of my baby,” Yeater said.
Bieber denied all of Yeater’s claims and his lawyers vowed to "vigorously pursue all available legal remedies to protect Justin and hold those involved with bringing this suit accountable for their actions."
