Just one month after assuring fans their relationship was not on the rocks, Ali Fedotowsky and Roberto Martinez have split. The couple’s rep confirmed the news to People magazine.
"Ali Fedotowsky and Roberto Martinez have ended their relationship. As they go through this difficult time, we ask that you respect the couple's privacy,” the rep said.
Fedotowsky and Martinez were engaged on the season 6 finale of The Bachelorette in 2010. They planned to tie the knot in August, but the wedding was postponed because Fedotowsky had to undergo knee surgery. In late October, the couple admitted they scrapped wedding plans altogether because they didn’t “feel the need” to be married.
"At this point we're not planning a wedding. Does that mean we're fighting? No. Does that mean we're miserable? Absolutely not!” Fedotowsky said at the time. "We're still engaged; we're still living together. We just don't feel the need to walk down the aisle right now."
