Venus Williams took another big step towards capturing her third straight Wimbledon title as she picked apart Agnieszka Radwanska in straight sets 6-1, 6-2 on Tuesday to reach the semifinals at the All England Club.
Venus was absolutely dominant as she delivered five aces and collected 29 winners while breaking Radwanska’s serve on 5 of 12 opportunities. Defensively Venus had little trouble handling Radwanska as she won 57 percent of the Poles first serve offering put in play.
Venus Williams has seven Grand Slam singles titles, five of them at Wimbledon and another two at the U.S. Open. The American has reached the finals at the Australian Open and the French Open but lost to her sister, Serena Williams, in both of those Grand Slam finals.
