Pro Step Marketing, a real estate focused marketing company located in Denver, NC, is working with Toys for Tots for the 2011 holiday season. Pro Step Marketing is a collection site for dropping off new toys to be distributed by the Marine’s Toys for Tots to needy children in the area for the holiday season. Toys can be donated during business hours of 8:30am-5:30pm Mon-Fri. at 1251 Hwy 16 North, Denver NC, 28037. Items must be new, unwrapped and in their original packaging.

Last year in Lincoln County alone there were over 2,600 kids in need of toys. “We are encouraging everyone in the area to bring new, unwrapped toys to our official drop off location.” Comments Tricia Andreassen, CEO, of Pro Step Marketing “Please join our efforts in supporting Toys for Tots. Holidays can be the best and worst of times, and by becoming an official drop-off location we hope to bring light to many children in need this Christmas.”

Toys for Tots has been collecting and delivering toys for children since 1947 when Major Bill Hendricks USMCR and a group of Marine Reservists collected and distributed 5000 toys to needy children. Now in its 61st year, the organization boasts almost 20 million toys delivered to close to 8 million children.

Toys for Tots is asking that you bring your unwrapped gifts to Pro Step Marketing’s official drop-off location before December 16, 2011.  Special items needed this year include: bicycles, footballs, baby dolls, video games, makeup, wallets, and music.  Toys for Tots accepts children in age from infant to eighteen years old and, “no child is turned away”.   If you are unable to visit Pro Step Marketing’s location between the hours of 8:30 am until 5:30 pm Monday-Friday, Toys for Tots encourages you to visit ToysforTots.org where you can make a donation to help the organization.  Toys for Tots also supports other programs and ways to donate such as, motorcycle “poker” runs.
