New York Man Arrested for DWI in Agency Vehicle

Late last week police received reports that a truck was racing down the road and driving erratically. When authorities track down the truck they discovered that the driver was intoxicated.

The intoxicated driver was Michael Johannes, an employee of the Orleans-Niagara Board of Cooperative Educational Services and he was using a board-owned vehicle.

Johannes is the superintendent of grounds and buildings for the BOCES, where he has been employed for five years. He was issued that truck as a take home vehicle and drives it for personal and business use.

When the police pulled Johannes over, they stated that he failed a number of field sobriety tests.  His blood alcohol content was 0.15, almost twice the legal limit. He has been put on administrative leave pending an investigation.

Johannes admitted that he was at local restaurant before he was arrested. The owner of the restaurant went under fire because he did not stop a drunken Johannes from leaving. He was stopped two miles from his home and it is unclear where he was headed at the time of his arrest.

When the future of a career is at stake, it is critical that the accused find an accomplished New York DWI lawyer to guide them through the legislative process.

Their experience makes a New York DWI lawyer a necessary assets to anyone facing intoxicated driving charges. A New York DWI lawyer will work to reduce the charges levied against their clients and the possible penalties they face.
