Rochester Shuttle Bus Driver Charged with DWI

An airport shuttle bus driver was charged with misdemeanor DWI after causing a traffic accident early Thursday morning. The driver will now need to find an experienced New York DWI attorney.

Police responded to an accident on Airport Rd. in Gates around 12:30 am. When they arrived on the scene they found that a 2011 Eldorado shuttle bus had crashed into a sign post. The shuttle bus was traveling eastbound when it left the roadway, traveled through a garden and crashed into the sign post. There was no damage to the sign, but the bus had damage to the front end. There were no passengers on the shuttle at the time.

The driver of the shuttle Tonya Arterberry, 45, was not injured in the accident. She initially told officers that she swerved to avoid an oncoming vehicle but an investigation could not corroborate her story. She was charged with DWI and released to her employer at the scene. Her blood alcohol content has not been released.

Commercial drivers risk their careers when they are charged with intoxicated driving, for these individuals it is crucial that they retain a DWI attorney to represent them in court.

No matter what a person’s circumstances facing a DWI can have long term consequences. To minimize the impact of these consequences, it is important to find an accomplished New York DWI attorney to build a defense.
