Jason Kidd will host a meeting with the New York Knicks on Wednesday morning, according to the New York Daily News.

The Knicks have been actively seeking a point guard. They are still interested in Ricky Rubio, the No. 5 pick of the 2009 NBA Draft, and have expressed strong interest in a deal to get him from the Minnesota Timberwolves. They also were looking at Milwaukee Bucks guard Ramon Sessions, but he has agreed to a deal to remain with the Bucks.
The Knicks are trying to gather some attractive players to entice Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James, who becomes a free agent next summer. Having Kidd on the team could be a great attraction for James.
Last season, Kidd earned $21.37 million in salary while playing for the Mavs. He averaged a career-low 9.0 points per game, to go along with 8.7 assists and 6.1 rebounds in his second stint with Dallas, the team that drafted him.
