Florida Accident Results in One Death and Two Injuries over the Weekend

An accident involving two cars resulted in the death of one driver and the injury of two others.

Palm Beach Police stated the accident occurred around 5:30am Sunday morning on corner Highway. The report says that Rakson Rodriguez, 26, of West Palm Beach was driving his Infinity westbound when he ran into the back of a pick-up truck driven by Alain Pena, 33, also of West Palm Beach. The impact caused both vehicles to run into the guard rail.

The Infinity flipped over several times and Rodriguez was ejected from the vehicle into the guard rail, he was decapitated on impact.

A third car driven by Eduardo Cabello also hit the pickup. Cabello was taken to the hospital with critical injuries. Pena was also taken to the hospital as a precaution, but was not seriously injured.
