A Pakistani woman accused of killing her husband and cooking his remains said she committed the crimes to prevent him from having a sexual relationship with her teen daughter.
"I killed my husband before he dared to touch my daughter," 32-year-old Zainab Bibi told ARY News in an interview Thursday.
Police Chief Nadeem Baig said Bibi was arrested Thursday at her home in the Shah Faisal area of Karachi. When police arrived at the house, Bibi had already chopped the body of her husband Ahmad Abbas into small pieces and was cooking them in a large pot.
“There could be two factors behind her intention to cook the husband. One is to destroy the evidence and the other could be her immense hatred against him,” said Baig.
Bibi’s 22-year-old nephew Zaheer Ahmed was also arrested in connection with Abbas’ death. Police believe Bibi and Ahmed drugged Abbas before they strangled him and cut his body into pieces on Tuesday.
