Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn has split from her husband of four years, Thomas. Yahoo! reports Vonn, 27, has already filed for divorce from Thomas, 36. Vonn confirmed the news in a statement released Monday.
"This is an extremely difficult time in my personal life and I hope the media and my fans can respect my need for privacy on this matter," she said. "[I will] continue to be coached by the U.S. ski team and look forward to competing the rest of the season."
Vonn and Thomas wed in September 2007. Thomas, who is a former Olympic skier, is Vonn’s schedule organizer and chief adviser.
