Taxi Cab Crashes Onto Steps of DC Area Mall

Tuesday morning rush hour was ground to a halt when a taxi cab driver lost control of his vehicle and came to a rest on the steps of Chevy Chase Pavilion at the southeast corners of Wisconsin and Western Avenues in D.C.

Eyewitnesses to the accident stated that a car traveling west on Western Ave. was attempting to take an illegal left turn onto Wisconsin Ave. That illegal turn set of a chain of events. Several cars were damaged and traffic was backed up in all directions.

The accident also caused a taxi cab driver to lose control and came to rest on the steps of the mall in front of J. Crew, causing significant damage to both the cab and the stair rails of the mall.

One person was incurred minor injuries and had to be taken to a local hospital, though it isn’t clear if it was the taxi driver.

The taxi driver may find it necessary to hire an accident attorney to recover the costs of the damages to the cab, which is likely the primary source of income.

Luckily, the people involved in this accident did not suffer severe harm, but many other traffic accidents result in debilitating injuries. Accident lawyers often represent people who incur serious injuries and need to recoup their medical costs.

Anyone who finds their lives are adversely affected by the carelessness of another driver should contact an accomplished accident attorney to attain compensation for their pain and distress.
