In the new issue of People magazine, former Bachelorette star Ali Fedotowsky says she had long been unhappy in her relationship with fiancé Roberto Martinez. Just weeks before announcing their split on November 21, Fedotowsky assured fans she and Martinez were happy together, but now the 27-year-old admits that was not the case.
"I wouldn't be being truthful if I said this came out of nowhere,” Fedotowsky tells People. "We definitely had been having problems. But I had always believed that we could work it out."
Constant arguing led the couple to call off their 18-month engagement. "We both realized we were unhappy more than we were happy. And we both deserved more,” Fedotowsky adds.
Fedotowsky has already moved out of the San Diego apartment she shared with Martinez, 28. Over the Thanksgiving holiday she thanked fans for their support. “Happy Thanksgiving to all my beautiful, kind, & gracious fans! I love u & cannot thank u all enough 4 all your support over the past few yrs,” she tweeted. "I'm focusing on family (and friends who are like family) right now, but look forward to talking with all of you soon. xo ali.”
