2009 NBA Free Agency Meeting with Jason Kidd

2009 NBA Free Agency Meeting

Mark Cuban announced on twitter yesterday afternoon that he was getting ready to fly to New York for a free agent meeting.  Sources confirmed with ESPN that he will be meeting with Jason Kidd.   According to the New York Daily News, Mark Cuban will meet with Jason Kidd and the Knicks.   In the past Kidd stated that he would give Dallas the first chance to re-sign him, but now he has other suitors.

The New York Knicks are pursuing Kidd to sign their own restricted free agents, guard Nate Robinson and forward David Lee.   Jason Kidd averaged 9 points and 8.7 assists for the Mavericks team that won them 50 games last season.  Kidd made an estimated $21 million lasts season.  At this level he knows there could be a change in his salary.  Another likely factor for him is the contract length.
