Detroit Pistons fire Head Coach Michael Curry

The Detroit Pistons fired their head coach Michael Curry.  Michael Curry coached for one season with the NBA team.  As of right now the Detroit Pistons did not state who would replace him.  Curry replaced Flip Sanders on June 10, 2008.  His previous position was an assistant for the previous season.

Joe Dumars who is the president of basketball operations stated “This was a difficult decision to make.  I want to thank Michael for his hard work and dedication to the organization.  However at this time, I have decided to make a change.”  The Detroit Pistons won the NBA title in 2004, and has reached the Eastern conference finals every season since 2002-03.
