Kris Humphries is seeking to annul his brief marriage to Kim Kardashian on the grounds of fraud. The Jersey Nets star filed court papers Wednesday. He lists the date of separation as October 31, 2011 and checked the box for “nullity of voidable marriage.” He requests a legal separation be granted if an annulment is denied.
Kardashian filed for divorce on October 31 after just 72 days of marriage. She cited irreconcilable differences say the reason for the split. Sources close to Kardashian say she is not against an annulment. "She always wanted an annulment but attorneys were against it so she's happy that both parties agree now," an insider claims.
Shortly after her divorce filing, Kardashian admitted she got too caught up in her TV wedding when she should have called off the engagement. “I want a family and babies and a real life so badly that maybe I rushed in to something too soon. I believed in love and the dream of what I wanted so badly. I felt like I was on a fast roller coaster and couldn’t get off when now I know I probably should have. I got caught up with the hoopla and the filming of the TV show that when I probably should have ended my relationship, I didn’t know how to and didn’t want to disappoint a lot of people,” she explained in a blog post.
