With the exit of all of the former Savaii members save for Cochran, the first stages of paranoia begin to set in at Te Tuna. Cochran realizes he is low on the totem pole of the Upolu alliance despite giving them the upper hand after the merge. Citing the benefits Upolu received from his move, Cochran begs to survive at least one more tribal council. His safety would mean Edna was next on the chopping block. Albert acknowledges that the alliance owes Cochran something, but the others are reluctant to agree.
Meanwhile, Albert’s laziness at camp starts to get under everyone’s skin. Rick starts calling him Prince Albert behind his back, which Cochran makes note of and tries to use later.
For the Redemption Island duel, Ozzy, Dawn and Whitney must balance dishes stacked at the end of a wobbly handle. The first two who let their dishes fall go to the jury. The winner remains on Redemption Island to fight in the next duel. Dawn’s dishes fall first. She is followed shortly after by Whitney.
The immunity/reward challenge is split into two parts. For part 1, the castaways must land sand bags on three raised pillars. The first three people to get a bag on each pillar moves on to part 2. For Part 2, the castaways must use a giant slingshot to launch coconuts at three targets. The first person to knockdown all three targets wins immunity and a massage.
Rick, Albert and Sophie win part 1 and move on to part 2. Albert makes quick work of his targets and wins immunity and the reward. He is allowed to take one person along with him for a massage and bath. Albert chooses Coach and then gives up his own place to let Cochran take the reward.
Back at camp, Cochran approaches Albert with a plan to oust Rick. He tells Albert about Rick’s name calling, and Albert admits he isn’t a big fan of Rick. He agrees to go along with the plan if Cochran can get Edna and Coach on board. Cochran easily gets Edna, but Coach refused to commit to anything. At tribal council, Cochran is sent packing to Redemption Island.
