Karina Smirnoff is no longer planning a wedding, according to insiders. E! Online reports the Dancing with the Stars pro has called off her year-long engagement to Detroit Tigers star Brad Penny. The news comes shortly after Smirnoff admitted that she postponed their January wedding to focus on DWTS.
“They’re just different people,” an insider says.
Smirnoff, 30, and Penny, 33, met in 2009 through former DWTS contestant Chuck Lidell. This is Smirnoff’s second failed engagement. She was engaged to fellow DWTS pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy from December 2008 to September 2009.
