ghbGBH or Gamma-hydroxybutyrate chemical is classified as a depressant and sedative that affects the central nervous system. Although numerous products such as wine, citrus fruits and animal flesh. It is also synthetically produced and is popular with the younger age group active in the clubs and nightlife. People get hooked on faster to GBH as it provides them with a sense of calm, feeling of relaxation and lowers anxiety levels drastically. However, as a ‘club drug’ when taken with alcohol, it can cause tiredness, coma, breathing difficulties and mental confusion. Other symptoms exhibited by GBH addiction users are vomiting, weakness, loss of peripheral vision, agitation, hallucinations and lightheadedness.

Originally, GHB was medically classified as one of the drugs used in therapies but in recent years, the spurt in its use for recreational purposes has been shocking.
