On Friday, Kris Humphries, along with his mother, appeared on Good Morning America to talk about his basketball career, and despite his best efforts to avoid talking about his divorce from Kim, the conversation kept steering in that direction.
Humphries was asked about his choice to file for an annulment, citing “fraud”, instead of seeking a divorce. In fact the interviewer attempted to steer the conversation back to the divorce. Humphries wanted the conversation to focus on his charity and basketball. But did he really think he was invited on the show to talk about his career?
Some have said that Humphries just wants to start anew but other sources believe he filed for the annulment to void the pre-nuptial agreement drafted by the couple’s divorce attorney. The pre-nuptial has a confidentiality clause attached and unless it is voided, Humphries cannot speak candidly about the marriage.
Ironically, Sunday night’s episode of “Kourtney and Kim Take New York” included a conversation between Kim and Kris where they discuss having a baby. This episode was filed just weeks before Kim headed to a divorce lawyer and filed for a formal dissolution.
The quick marriage and divorce of Kim and Kris has made people feel angry or duped. She has been accused of getting married for money and attention. And her reality show paints Humphries in a negative light.
Their respective divorce attorneys are working on ending their nuptials and most certainly the news will be inundated with the particulars when they come to light.
