Cosmetic Surgery on the Rise for the Holiday Season

If you are wondering what to get a person who has everything, cosmetic surgery can be a good option for that person on your list, especially if they have already expressed a desire to have a procedure. Whether its facial fillers, liposuction or a more invasive procedure like a tummy tuck, it may be your chance to give an unforgettable Christmas present.  The economy is still struggling but this year people are finding the money to give their friends and family the gifts they want including plastic surgery.

Despite the economy people are spending more on cosmetic surgeries. Nationwide people spent less on food, entertainment, clothing and electronics, but spending on liposuction increased by 5.1 percent. Spending on other surgeries like butt-lifts and breast augmentations also increased. It appears that cosmetic surgeons are not feeling the economic downturn as badly as other industries.

Many plastic surgeons stay booked throughout the holiday season.

There is a segment of the population that has plenty of money to spend but a large majority of people seeking cosmetic surgery make between $30,000 and $60,000 annually. To meet the growing demand for plastic surgery some companies no offer loans to cover cosmetic surgery. General Electric has one such program called CareCredit.

So if you really want to get liposuction for that dear friend, Botox for your sister, or just want to give yourself something special you don’t have to let money be a hindrance.
