The legendary actress and feminist Jane Fonda went on The Rosie Show when the subject of plastic surgery came up. Fonda had once promised that as a feminist she would never have plastic surgery. But she went back on that promise, and spoke to Rosie O’Donnell about the disappointment she felt in herself for breaking that promise.
Fonda said, “I was walking down the street and I saw my reflection of myself in the window and it scared me, because I feel so good and look so tired.”
Fonda admitted to having the bags under the eyes removed and a nip/tuck to the chin.
Many women over fifty feel this way too, but shouldn’t feel embarrassed about having plastic surgery. As we age the skin on our faces and necks can begin to sag, making a person look haggard and tired. Looking younger and more vibrant can help with a career and give a person a better sense of self-worth.
For the face, lifts for the eyes and forehead can smooth out skin and make a person look younger. If the neck is sagging, liposuction or a tuck can help reduce the appearance of wrinkles and get rid of the “turkey neck.”
Our bodies along with our faces show the signs of age. Older women may be unhappy with the way their breasts look or displeased with a heavier mid-section, but a breast augmentation or liposuction can correct these flaws.
People are always chasing after the fountain of youth and plastic surgery has put that within our grasp. Liposuction, breast augmentations, and various lifts allow people to defy nature and look as young as they feel.
