With just the five members of the tight knit Upolu alliance left, paranoia set in at camp and the scrambling began. Before the drama began, the castaways visited Redemption Island for the duel between Ozzy and Edna. The challenge involved a puzzle to free a hatchet used to retrieve a bag of blocks. The blocks had to be stacked so no colors repeated on any side.
Ozzy got a head start, but Edna quickly caught up with the help of her former tribe members. She made good time on the block portion and nearly had it solved, but Ozzy was faster. He survived another duel and will only battle against one more castaway.
Meanwhile, Albert overplayed his hand when he went to Rick about their supposed final 2 deal and then did the same with Brandon. He also spread his paranoid about Sophie, telling everyone she is too smart and needs to be eliminated. Only Coach seemed to be the least paranoid and comfortable with his place in the game.
For the immunity challenge, each person had to climb up a steep incline to retrieve bags of puzzle pieces. After completing their puzzle, which gave them a combination of numbers, they had to climb all the way up the incline to use the numbers on a combination lock. The first person to solve the lock won immunity and a pizza lunch.
It came down to Coach and Brandon. Brandon was faster at solving the puzzle and quickly solved the combination lock. He won immunity and chose Rick to join him for pizza. It was during lunch that Rick spilled the beans about Albert’s lies. Brandon immediately confronted Albert, who denied everything and tried to do damage control. His damage control worked surprisingly well because Brandon said he would give Albert his immunity necklace. This threw a wrench in everyone’s plan to eliminate Albert, so Brandon became the next target.
Brandon kept his promise at tribal council and handed over immunity to Albert. Coach, Sophie and Rick sent Brandon to Redemption Island.
