RFID Hardware from Cadi Scientific to Integrate with Intelligent InSites’ Enterprise RTLS Healthcare Software
Intelligent InSites, Inc., the leading provider of enterprise real-time location systems (RTLS) software helping hospitals improve patient satisfaction and operational performance while supporting multiple RFID and RTLS technologies, has announced a partnership with Cadi Scientific (Cadi) – a Singapore-based RTLS hardware and software provider – to integrate Cadi’s radio frequency identification technology with the Intelligent InSites solution.
“We are pleased to expand the portfolio of compatible RFID hardware with our enterprise RTLS healthcare software,” said Ralf Mehnert-Meland, Director of Developer/OEM Relationships at Intelligent InSites. “This is a unique value proposition for hospitals planning to utilize RTLS technology, as they can choose a single RTLS software solution that works with multiple real-time locating technologies. This enables hospitals to select the RTLS technology that best meets their current requirements, infrastructure, and budget, while providing a future-proof foundation for additional use cases, technologies, innovations, and requirements.”
“With the growing interest among healthcare providers in using RTLS systems to improve their processes, partnering with Intelligent InSites provides us a faster and more efficient way to access new markets and help new customers,” said Dr Lim Soh Min, Chief Marketing Officer of Cadi Scientific.
According to Dr Lim, with the RFID technology from Cadi, hospitals are able to wirelessly monitor patients' temperature, automate vital signs data entry, track and manage patients and assets in real-time, and optimize patient flow and bed capacity.
The InSites RTLS software solution is built to collect real-time location and condition sensing data from any type of RTLS technology, including active RFID, infrared/RF, passive RFID, ultrasound, Wi-Fi, and ZigBee. By leveraging this real-time data and InSites’ applications, such as asset management, patient flow, or temperature monitoring applications, hospitals are able to achieve meaningful and measurable hard-dollar cost savings while improving patient satisfaction and patient care.
About Cadi Scientific:
Backed by a panel of experienced medical advisors and a renowned professor, Cadi Scientific was incorporated in Singapore to harness the latest technology to develop wireless sensing and tracking devices for healthcare. This resulted in the SmartSense system- an RFID wireless platform designed to enhance patient care, reduce nurses’ workload and improve operational efficiency. Useful applications include wireless patient temperature and vital signs monitoring on digitized clinical charts, patient tracking for optimizing patient flow and real-time asset tracking to optimize utilization of assets. To date, Cadi’s RFID solution has been deployed in some of the country’s largest hospitals and several other healthcare institutions in the region, amounting to a total of 500,000 patients who have used the system and that number continues to rise daily.
About Intelligent InSites:
Intelligent InSites helps healthcare organizations improve care and reduce costs by transforming automatically-collected data into actionable insights. Through its interoperable, hardware-agnostic, healthcare real-time location system (RTLS) software platform, Intelligent InSites gathers data from real-time location, condition sensing, and other systems; then delivers meaningful information to the right person, at the right time, on the right device. Intelligent InSites’ customers gain enterprise-wide visibility and are able to impact continuous process improvements, resulting in remarkable financial and quality of care outcomes.
