What You Can Expect Here At Delray

We understand that every client has a separate set of needs, and as such, every client will have their own personal treatment and recovery experience. Our mission is to provide high-quality treatment at a reasonable cost, so that for those who choose to seek help in living a new life, that help is there. Our main goal and focus is to provide a foundation in recovery and a framework for living that allows the client to live a happy and healthy life. Our program utilizes the most advanced techniques available today, including a multitude of traditional and holistic therapies that aim to treat the mind, body, and spirit.

The following is a list of various models of therapy we utilize throughout treatment in both group and individual settings at Delray Recovery Centers:

Existential Therapy

Focuses on the idea that our existence is never fixed and we are constantly recreating and improving ourselves. We move forward with self-awareness, freedom, responsibility, self-identification, and the development of purpose, values, and meaningful relationships with others.

Reality Objectification

An addict/alcoholic generally tries to control external factors as a means of meeting internal needs. Reality is viewed through ‘rose-tinted glasses’ or skewed perceptions and cognitive distortions. Reality Objectification aims to objectify the individual’s views of the external world thereby enabling them to react in a healthy and responsible manner to all situations and circumstances beyond their control.

REBT (Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy)

Human beings are capable of both rational and irrational thinking. Certain beliefs and behaviors promote one or the other. Addiction stems from and breeds irrational thinking. REBT enables an individual to identify irrational thought patterns and replace them with healthy and rational ways of thinking.

Centers on the idea that an individual’s ‘story,’ or past experiences, directly affects how they view and identify themselves in general. Aims to evaluate the accuracy of their perceptions of the past and make positive changes where necessary to promote self-esteem and healthy identity.
