HeartTronics, Inc. (HRTT.PK), developer of the world’s only wireless, 12-lead ECG device compliant with the standards dictated by the American Heart Association, has appointed Mr. Arun Bhan as its Senior Vice President for International Affairs.
At the outset, Mr. Bhan – a Member of the Board of Advisors to the United Nations Health Initiative, UNWired Leaders Summit -- will head up the Company’s business and scientific advisory boards whose first roles are guiding the Company and the United Nations to fulfill the U.N. charter of enabling wireless access to cost effective and miraculous technologies to improve health care outcomes for more than 5 billion patients.
Mr. Bhan joins the Company at a time when he is one of 23-advisors on the massive U.N. global campaign. The initial summit for the United Nations’ Initiative is on March 26, 27, 2012. “With over 1,300 members of the United Nations’ Global Campaign – and with a reach worldwide to billions of persons in hundreds of companies – I am proud to be working alongside the Company and its team in assuring heart care delivery that is wireless, easily accessible and at once efficacious.
Mr. Bhan has a 30-years career in international business and global communications projects across all spectrums of business in both advanced and emerging marketplaces. He is on the Board of Advisors of the PPP Health Committee of India. Mr. Bhan was a founding team member of Trinity Biotech (Nasdaq: TRIB), as well as one of the key contributor from Ireland to renowned Digital Equipment Corporation. He is also a Director of Bal Pharma Ltd. (BLP.IN) and holds positions as principal advisor to health care companies worldwide. Previously Mr. Bhan has been senior advisor to KPMG.
“We are delighted that Arun Bhan has accepted his appointment as Senior Vice President and that he will run these important Advisory Boards. In our technology review at company facilities in its Gold Care Initiative, it was obvious that someone with Mr. Bhan’s background would be critical in developing the links for the Company’s Gold Care Initiative. I welcome Mr. Bhan to HeartTronics, Inc. and express my sincere thanks for his time and energy expended in evaluating the technology and the projects,” commented Company President and Chief Executive Officer Paul McMahon.
Mr. Bhan responded: “Only through international linkages like those involved in the United Nations Global Initiative can we make impact through exposure of the breathtaking suite of HeartTronics’ technologies that have already garnered two Frost & Sullivan awards for technological innovation. This live saving technology – working wirelessly and in compliance with American Heart Association guidelines – can now be used by the world what I view as the U.N.’s largest and most important initiative of the past 40-years.
