MTV has confirmed their popular prank show Punk’d is returning to TV with Ashton Kutcher and Jason Goldberg back as executive producers. The network remained tight-lipped about other details of the revamped show, including who has been tapped to host. The new host will be announced during MTV’s live New Years Eve broadcast.
The first prank of the upcoming season is rumored to involve Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift. Swift is reportedly on the receiving end of the joke, which sources say was filmed in August. No other details were available.
The new season of Punk’d is scheduled to air next year. The series originally premiered in 2003. It ended after a four year run.
