Madonna expected to break record for her ‘Confessions’ world tour

Over the past six years Madonna has raked in $400 million in ticket sales for her world tours. None will be bigger than this years ‘Confessions’ tour which is expected to bring in close to $194 million, making it the highest grossing world tour for a female performer.

The highly controversial tour, which features a mock crucifixion, has sold nearly 1.2 million tickets in its four-month, sixty shows, run.

Cher staged a three year farewell tour that grossed $192.5 million between 2002 and 2005 and included 273 shows.
