Real Housewives Star Taylor Armstrong filed for Divorce to Stay on Show

Some people will do just about anything to keep their spot in the limelight, even if it means heading to a divorce attorney.  RadarOnline reported that Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Taylor Armstrong decided to divorce her husband, Russell, because Bravo executives banned the couple from appearing on show.

Bravo executives have stated that Russell threatened to sue the network over things Taylor told her fellow housewives. Taylor revealed that Russell was abusive and hit her on several occasions and other housewives were talking about it on the show. Russell would not have had any legal recourse because it was Taylor who was doing the talking. Bravo decided the couple was too much trouble and banned them from the show.

She officially separated from Russell in July 2011 and allegedly filed for divorce in order to regain her spot on the show, according to RadarOnline.

Russell committed suicide in August 2011 by hanging himself in a friend apartment.

Domestic violence is a serious issue and shouldn’t be taken lightly. An abused spouse should get help and seek out a divorce attorney to dissolve the marriage. Many people stay in these abusive marriages because they think their spouse will stop hitting them, but this is often not the case.

No matter what the reason, any person who plans to leave their spouse will benefit by hiring a divorce lawyer to help them with settle the issues of property and asset division.
