Hayward, CA – Two women were arrested Thursday for suspicion of drunk driving in the same car, according to the Alameda County Sheriff’s office spokesman.
Police say they attempted to pull over the driver of a Toyota Corolla at an intersection. The driver Alexandria McBride, 24, fled the scene on foot until they caught up two her block away. In the meantime, the passenger jumped into the driver’s seat and led police on a chase.
The driver, Loretta Saldana, 36, crashed into a median on a highway onramp about two miles away from the traffic stop.
Alexandra McBride, a parolee with outstanding warrants, and Saldana were both arrested for DUI.
