Giuliana Rancic returned to work at E! News Tuesday, just two weeks after undergoing a double mastectomy in a bid to beat her breast cancer. Rancic, 37, released a statement on the network’s website saying it “feels great” to return to hosting the nightly news program.
"Thankfully, I've been feeling better every single day since surgery and this weekend my doctors gave me the green light to get back to work,” she said.
"Even though I moved a tad slower than usual today, everyone welcomed me back with open arms and it was a wonderful homecoming," Rancic added.
The 37-year-old underwent a double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery on December 13 after lumpectomies and radiation therapy failed to remove the cancer completely. "At the end, to be honest, all it came down to was just choosing to live, and not looking over my shoulder for the rest of my life. I couldn't be more at peace with the decision. But it's hard, and I still break down some nights ... But I'm okay,” she previously said of her decision to undergo the surgery.
