Sources close to the new NBC series Smash have revealed Debra Messing, who announced her split from husband Daniel Zelman last week, is dating costar Will Chase. The romance reportedly started about 6 weeks ago.
"It all happened very fast and it's a difficult situation," a source tells People magazine.
In a statement released on December 20, a rep for Messing said the actress and Zelman “privately separated earlier this year” after 10 years of marriage. The couple has a 7-year-old son named Roman. Chase is also in the process of a split. He and Broadway actress Stephanie Gibson recently called it quits after 2 years of marriage.
Neither Messing, 43, nor Chase, 41, has commented.
