Police in Pakistan say a car bomb detonated outside a house in Quetta, Balochistan province killed 10 people, but failed to kill the intended target. At least 30 people were wounded in the blast.
According to reports, the explosion occurred at the home of Naseer Mengal, a politician who served as oil minister for former President Pervez Musharraf. Authorities believe Naseer’s son Shafique Mengal, who is also a politician, was the target.
There has been no claim of responsibility for the attack. No other details were immediately available.
