Longtime Turner Broadcasting sports announcer Jim Huber has died. According to reports, Huber passed away Monday in Atlanta after a short battle with acute leukemia. He was 67. Huber is survived by his wife and son.
"We are saddened by the passing of our colleague and friend Jim Huber," said David Levy, the president of sales, distribution and sports at Turner.
Before becoming a sports broadcaster, Huber worked as a journalist. He then moved to CNN where he was an anchor for their 24-hour news network, CNN/Sports Illustrated. Huber spent more than 27 years at Turner reporting mainly on golf and the NBA. He also wrote three books.
