Dodge Ram Truck 1500 Series
The Ram Truck 1500 features four-wheel drive at the flip of a dial. It features a 4-HI setting, which locks the drive shafts for extra grip and pulling power to handle all types of tough terrain. The 4-LO position has a 2.72:1 gear reduction ratio for additional grip and power. It also has Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Trailer Sway Control (TSC), and four-wheel Anti-Lock Brakes (ABS). While the ESC senses trouble and automatically performs brake and/or throttle corrections, the TSC also delivers a similar automatic corrections when it senses sway in a trailer. Finally, the ABS greatly improves braking and control when faced with slippery surfaces.
Dodge Ram Truck 2500 and 3500 Series
The Heavy-Duty 2500 and 3500 Ram Trucks Ram Heavy Duty trucks are known for their durability and capability in tough weather conditions. The four-wheel drive models have a five-link, coil-spring front suspension, which also features a link-type sway bar and a beam axle to deliver a smooth ride, incredible handling, and the capability to work off-road just as well as when on the highway. The 3500 models add separate auxiliary spring leafs that can support the full-rated load dual rear wheel. These models also have a four-wheel Antilock Brake System (ABS), which helps to prevent wheel lockup when braking suddenly or when faced with slick roads. Factory-installed running lamps mounted on the roof help to increase the truck’s visibility, which is extremely important in winter weather conditions.
