RadarOnline.com reports Beverly Hills police were called to restrain Joe Francis Thursday morning after the Girls Gone Wild founder attacked a woman on Rodeo Drive. A witness says Francis began hitting an unidentified brunette who apparently took his cell phone.
"Some girl took his cell phone and he wanted it back so he started to hit her," the witness tells Radar. "He said to her, 'Give me back my phone you stupid b**ch,' and then he started to throw her around."
Police handcuffed Francis at the scene, but did not arrest him. A spokesperson for the police department told Radar they are not releasing details on the incident. "[Joe] wasn't arrested, but right now we're not releasing details. It was a call for service and we responded," said the spokesperson.
Francis, 38, has not commented.
