Just days after reports surfaced that Teen Mom 2 star Leah Messer was engaged and pregnant with her third child, her boyfriend Jeremy Calvert has confirmed the news.
“Yes, Leah is having my baby! I was at work when Leah called to tell me. She’d gotten blood work done and it came back positive. At first I was kind of surprised – but I was happy,” Calvert tells Reality Weekly.
Calvert says he popped the question with a 1.5 princess cut diamond ring on Christmas Day. “I bought an ornament for the tree that said ‘Engaged’ with both our names on it and the date. And when I saw Leah looking at it, that’s when I gave her the ring,” he said.
This will be Messer’s second marriage. Her marriage to Corey Simms, the father of her 2-year-old twins Aliannah and Aleeah, ended in April 2011 after just six months.
Messer, 19, has not commented. Her life with Simms and the twins is chronicled on MTV’s Teen Mom 2.
