An overview of substance addiction in the US

One of the most serious health threats in the US today is substance abuse and addiction.  There are now roughly 40 million cases of serious illness and/or injury each year associated with this threat, and the numbers are sure to keep increasing.  Currently, the substances necessitating addiction treatment rehab programs include:

• alcohol
• amphetamines
• anabolic steroids (e.g. human growth hormones or HGH)
• club drugs a.k.a. MDMA’s
• cocaine both crack and powder
• heroin
• marijuana
• numerous inhalants
• prescription medications

Substance addiction also plays a significant role in a number of major social issues and problems including child abuse, driving under the influence, stress, and violent crimes.  It is also associated with homelessness and the inability to keep a steady job.  Finally, it destroys families as well as the potential for harm to unborn babies.  Although there are dozens of addiction treatment rehab programs out there, the primary focus of society should be preventing substance abuse and addiction to begin with.

At the Narconon Freedom Center, we have the highest success rate in the US with our addiction treatment rehab programs (70%+) and have programs that target each of the addictions listed above.  We recognized the need for educating our clients while they were going through the treatment and recovery process here at our facility and we currently offer certain classes/courses for them to participate in while they are in residency here.

Additionally, the costs involved with our addiction treatment rehab programs include the following benefits for our clients which many insurance companies currently cover:

As no two individuals are alike, neither are the emotional, mental, and physical consequences of the addiction they are suffering from.  The most significant role that the Narconon Freedom Center plays in our client’s residency here is that we offer different time frames and types of treatment.  The standard addiction treatment rehab facility offers programs that are normally 28 days in duration.  Not every addicted client needs this based on the differences in their addictions.

We currently offer 4 avenues for addiction treatment and recovery, depending on the severity and type of addiction the client is suffering with:

• out-patient
• 28-day residency
• Longer residencies should the situation warrant this
