A late-night 16 minute car chase on Monday through Sierra Vista results in a DUI arrest.
Police attempted to pull over Alberto Siqueiros after he made an illegal left turn. Siqueiros entered the parking lot of a convenience store, then exited the lot and sped off. The officer then turned on his lights and pursued the suspect with speeds exceeding 50 mph.
Siqueiros then drove into oncoming traffic forcing one car to change lanes to avoid a collision. He continued through oncoming traffic then made a turn speeding through numerous streets where he almost collided with another vehicle; police were still in pursuit. Siqueiros turned onto a mobile home park where he crashed into a concrete barrier. He continued to drive through the area for several minutes until he stopped his car and fled the scene on foot.
When police asked him why he ran Siqueiros told them, “Because I’ve been drinking and didn’t want another DUI.” A DUI attorney knows how bad it is to get multiple DUIs and will be a valued ally on court.
When you get one DUI you face heavy fines, probation DUI School and in some states an ignition interlock breathalyzer. A DUI lawyer will help with your charges and can possibly have those penalties reduced.
But a second charge will entail even tougher penalties. A second offender should contact a DUI attorney immediately to begin working on their case to minimize its impact.
