In a recent interview by Chelsea Handler, she explained her preference to skip the formal introductions and get down to business. She states that she would rather have sex the first time to prevent wasting her time on someone who isn’t good in bed.
Expressing an opinion contrary to the formal dating process, she reflects a new age of sexual liberalization amongst women.
Does this theory make sense? By Chelsea advocating for this, is she a pioneer in what could be a new age of sexual freedom? We feel that this theory is reflective of an increasing popular trend in mainstream society.
By all means, men and women have the right to see if a potential beau has the skills they’re seeking prior to investing their time in a relationship. Because of our commitment to promoting a healthy, luxurious lifestyle, we advocate this as well. Now, we recognize that, in the interest of promoting a healthy lifestyle, this might not be the greatest idea. However, from a social and financial perspective, we couldn’t deem it any more fitting.
For men, this would save a great amount of headache and finances. Think about how much a man has to go through to impress a female. The list is endless. He has to make sure he is always dressed extremely sharp, shaved, and has to watch every single word he says.
He must seek advice and approval from his friends to determine if she’s worthy of investing his time. Then, he must pick a fine restaurant in which she may not even eat! If she goes to FIT during the day and Provocateur at night, chances are she’s not eating at dinner–leaving you stuck there as she sits there with food she has barely touched and cannot pronounce.
Now, regarding the finances to make all of this happen, a man must possess a fortune to even make it halfway to impressing a female in this cold-blooded city. From the drinks at Day & Night at 4pm, to the dinner at Nobu at 8pm, to closing things off at 1Oak afterwards–Wow! You’re looking at a pretty expensive Saturday. And the sole reason to do this is sex–something you’ve both been after all the while.
Then, there’s stupid texting throughout the day that distracts you from productivity. You feel anxiety from the constant pressure to be at the top of your game. You must figure out her interests and acquiesce to what she wants to do. You deal with being teased all night to the point of experiencing tremendous blue balls.
Can you imagine dealing with ALL of this nonsense to impress her and then have to deal with the WORST sex you’ve ever experienced, to the point of faking an orgasm? It’s a pain equivalent to when you first realized Santa Claus didn’t exist.
Now, can you imagine if we all just abide by the Chelsea Handler theory of just having sex without all of the formalities? All of this could be avoided, and adhering to this theory allows you to know what you’re getting into (literally) before you make any commitments–be it time, financial, or even a relationship.
