A suicide attack in southern Afghanistan on Thursday killed a government official and his two young sons. Authorities say a total of 5 people died when the suicide bomber rammed his vehicle into another car carrying Panjwai district chief Haji Fazeludin Agha. The attack happened in Kandahar city.
Kandahar province spokesman Zalmay Ayobi confirmed Agha died along with his sons, ages 16 and 4, and two bodyguards. At least 10 other people were wounded in the blast. Ayobi said 9 of the wounded are policemen.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
