Mugshot: Nicole Bobek Charged in NJ Drug Ring

Nicole Bobek has been charged with being a part of a New Jersey drug ring. The former U.S. figure skating champion was arrested in Florida last week and charged with conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. At least 20 other people were arrested in connection with the drug ring.

Bobek, 31, pleaded not guilty Monday by video in the Hudson County Jail. She is being held on $200,000 bail.

This isn’t Bobek’s first run-in with the law. In November 1994, she was charged with first degree home invasion after using an access code to enter a friend’s home in Michigan. Bobek allegedly tried to steal cash from a purse inside the home but was caught by the home’s owner. She claimed she had permission to enter the home and take the money by another member of the house.

Bobek plead guilty under Michigan’s Holmes Youthful Trainee Act and received 2 years of probation and 50 hours of community service or 30 days in jail. The case was eventually dismissed.
