Two car bombs targeting the homes of two police officers left over a dozen people wounded Friday in northern Iraq. The bombs exploded within 30 minutes of each other in the city of Kirkuk, which is about 150 miles north of Baghdad.
Kirkuk deputy police chief Torhan Abdulrahman said the targets were located in the center and northern parts of the city. No deaths have been reported. Authorities confirmed at least 20 people, mostly civilians, were wounded. It is unclear if the two intended targets were among the injured.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attacks.
