Pennsylvania man dies after colliding with truck

A 19 year-old Pennsylvania man died Thursday after colliding with a tractor trailer on Rt.222.

According to police, Craig F. Pelham had just completed a left turn onto Rt. 222 northbound when his vehicle collided with a truck traveling northbound, driven by Robert Dooley, 61.

The left side of the truck hit the left side of Pelham’s vehicle. The southbound truck slid into the northbound lanes and pinned the car against the guardrail. The tractor trailers left front wheel ran over the hood of Pelham’s car. 

When emergency personnel arrived on the scene they found Pelham deceased in his car. The coroner determined he died of multiple injuries. Dooley was suffered mild injury to his back.

Northern Berks regional police and the Berks’ district attorney’s traffic investigation unit are trying to find the cause of the accident.
