Stevie Wonder and Mariah Carey are set to take the stage during the public memorial and tribute for Michael Jackson on Tuesday.
The public memorial will take place at the
Wonder and Carey will be joined by Usher, John Mayer and Jennifer Hudson as they embark on the tribute for
Beyonce’ Knowles and Whitney Houston will reportedly be in attendance, but will not perform, according to Entertainment Tonight. Magic Johnson, Kobe Bryant, Smokey Robinson, Lionel Richie, Brooke Shields, Berry Gordy, and Martin Luther King III will also be in attendance at the memorial.
Debbie Rowe, Jackson’s ex-wife and mother to his two children, was expected to attend, but backed out Monday. "The onslaught of media attention has made it clear her attendance would be an unnecessary distraction," her attorney Marta Almli said in a statement.
In addition, longtime friend Elizabeth Taylor will not be in attendance. "I've been asked to speak at the
Rev. Al Sharpton will deliver the eulogy, according to NBC News.
