Shares of US Airways Group Inc. (NYSE: LCC) rallied
in trading on Wednesday after the Tempe, Arizona-based airline announced its
fourth-quarter financial results. US Airways reported fourth-quarter revenue of
$3.2 billion. The company’s total revenue per available seat miles rose 9.9% to
a record 15.20 cents.
US Airways shares rose to an intra-day high of $7.94
on Wednesday before finishing the day 17.32% higher on above average volume.
The rally has pushed US Airways Group shares above their 50-day and 200-day
moving averages.
