Private-equity firms Colony Capital LLC and Related Cos. may buy assets of troubled Florida condominium lender Corus Bankshares Inc. (CORS  0.20, -0.03, -12.96%) , Bloomberg News reported Thursday on its Web site, citing unidentified sources close to the matter. The investors may seek to buy the lender's assets while it is still in business or after it goes into receivership, according to Bloomberg. Corus reportedly hired Bank of America Corp. (BAC  12.15, 0.00, 0.00%)  recently to help raise capital or sell the lender outright to avoid a shutdown.
