NEWS - In an industry first, Wells Fargo’s Student Insurance Division and the Sports Concussion Institute (SCI) today launched Play It Safe Concussion CareSM - a new concussion management treatment and services solution for athletes nationwide.Play It Safe Concussion CareSM, which includes insurance underwritten by National Union Fire Insurance Company of Pittsburgh, PA, provides concussion medical expense benefits for athletes who sustain a covered head injury. The program also offers solutions to prevent, diagnose, and treat concussions. The process begins with a baseline assessment performed by SCI, or its affiliated medical provider network , which includes a neurocognitive evaluation administered to athletes pre-season.
